About Housing Authority of the City of Georgetown

At GHA, we offer numerous classes and activities to families, in addition we enable disabled and elderly residents to remain living independently and/or to age in place. These include nutritional and health classes; exercise groups; medical, hearing and prescription meds screenings; defensive driving; financial literacy as well as classes about issues such as identity fraud, etc.

We have computer labs for resident use and offer computer classes with one on one computer tutors. These are also used for job search and resume building as well as email access and to use as a medium for contacting family members.

We partner with various Home Health Care agencies and churches to provide assistance to our residents with household duties and yard work. We host family activities in partnership with the Georgetown Church of Christ, the First Baptist Church of Georgetown, Celebration Church and annually partner with the Boys and Girls Club as well as the Stonehaven Senior Center to celebrate holidays, new resident dinners, Neighborhood night out events and other activities.

It is very exciting to me that our residents have more advantages than offered at any other rental units in Georgetown.
